Schon im Mai 2020 berichteten wir über das Bauprojekt am Europaplatz in Berlin-Mitte, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof: Der Immobilienentwickler CA Immo errichtet dort ein 84 Meter hohes Bürogebäude.
Das Hochhaus ist Teil des ambitionierten “Europacity” Projekts, welches sich nördlich vom Hauptbahnhof bis zum Nordhafen auf 61 Hektar erstreckt.
Südliche Spitze der “Europacity”
Wie auch an der nördlichen Spitze der Europacity, wo das Hochhausprojekt “Upbeat” entsteht, wird auch am südlichen Ende des Neubauviertels hoch gestapelt.
Das Unternehmen KPMG wird als Ankermieter in das zukünftige Gebäude einziehen. Die Fertigstellung ist für Ende 2023 geplant. Das Gebäude wird sich über insgesamt 22 Stockwerke erstrecken und wurde voll und ganz nach den Bedürfnissen des zukünftigen Mieters konzipiert.
KPMG wird Hauptmieter des Büroturms
Das Projekt ist längst über die Planungsphase hinaus, denn elf der zukünftig 22 Stockwerke sind im Rohbau bereits fertiggestellt. Das Projekt liegt aktuell also im Zeitplan.
Zusätzlich zu den entstehenden Büroetagen wird das Gebäude ein modernes Konferenzzentrum und eine Cafeteria für die Mitarbeiter im obersten Stockwerk des Gebäudes beherbergen.

Darüber hinaus werden den Mitarbeiter*innen zwei Dachterrassen auf dem Dach des flacheren Sockelgebäudes zur Verfügung stehen. Im Erdgeschoss wird eine großzügige Lobby mit einem mehrstöckigen Atrium und ein ebenfalls öffentlich zugängliches Restaurant eingerichtet.
Zukünftig werden 284 Parkplätze zur Verfügung stehen, von denen 18 als Ladestation für Elektrofahrzeugen dienen sollen. Darüber hinaus können ca. 200 Fahrradparkplätze genutzt werden. Das Gebäude wird von CA Immo als “Green Building” errichtet und und eine DNGB-Gold-Zertifizierung angestrebt.
Um nachhaltiges Bauen praktisch anwendbar, messbar und damit vergleichbar zu machen, hat das Unternehmen DGNB ein eigenes Zertifizierungssystem entwickelt, welches seit 2009 im Markt angewandt wird. Projektentwickler haben daher die Möglichkeit, ihre Gebäude DGNB-zertifizieren zu lassen.

Aktualler Stand: Der Baufortschritt im März 2021
Back in May 2020, we reported on the construction project at Europaplatz in Berlin-Mitte, in the immediate vicinity of the main train station: The real estate developer CA Immo is building an 84-meter-high office building there.
The high-rise is part of the ambitious “Europacity” project, which extends north from the main train station to the northern harbor on 61 hectares.
SOUTHERN TIP OF “EUROPACITY
As at the northern tip of Europacity, where the “Upbeat” high-rise project is being built, the southern end of the new development district is also stacked high.
The company KPMG will move into the future building as an anchor tenant. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2023. The building will span a total of 22 stories and has been fully designed to meet the needs of the future tenant.
KPMG BECOMES MAIN TENANT OF THE OFFICE TOWER
The project is long past the planning stage, with the shell of eleven of the future 22 floors already completed. The project is therefore currently on schedule.
In addition to the office floors being built, the building will house a modern conference center and a cafeteria for employees on the top floor of the building.
11 OF 22 FLOORS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AS SHELLS
In addition, employees* will have access to two roof terraces on the roof of the flatter base building. The first floor will feature a spacious lobby with a multi-level atrium and a restaurant that is also open to the public.
In the future, 284 parking spaces will be available, 18 of which will serve as charging stations for electric vehicles. In addition, approximately 200 bicycle parking spaces can be used. The building is being constructed by CA Immo as a “Green Building” and and DNGB Gold certification is being sought.
In order to make sustainable building practically applicable, measurable and thus comparable, the DGNB company has developed its own certification system, which has been applied in the market since 2009. Project developers therefore have the opportunity to have their buildings DGNB-certified.
